Privacy Policy
This policy explains what JobCostIT collects about you, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the product and keep your job and cost data accurate.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and the company information you enter, such as your business name, logo, and contact details. As you use JobCostIT, we store the jobs, receipts, crew hours, estimates, invoices, and related records you and your team create. We never store your full bank account or card numbers, government tax IDs are entered by you for invoice use only, and payment information you enter during checkout is handled by our payment provider, not JobCostIT.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to run the service: building your estimates and invoices, tracking job costs, managing your crew, and sending transactional emails such as estimates and receipts. We also use analytics and session recordings (described below) to understand how the product is used and to fix problems and improve it.
Session recordings and analytics
We use session recording and analytics tools to see how people use JobCostIT (pages visited, clicks, scrolling and errors) so we can fix problems and improve the product.
- Recordings are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- We do not sell this data.
- Password fields and card payment fields (handled by our payment provider) are not captured in recordings. Other information you type into the app, such as customer names and contact details on estimates and invoices, may appear in recordings, which only the JobCostIT team can view.
- You can delete your account and data anytime inside the app — use Settings → Company → Delete account (company owners) or Delete my account in your profile menu (crew members). You can also submit a request through our contact page.
Data retention
We keep your account and job data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and data at any time from inside the app — Settings → Company → Delete account, or Delete my account in your profile. Session recordings are retained for 30 days and then removed automatically. You can also request deletion through our contact page.
Sharing and your choices
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate JobCostIT (such as hosting, email delivery, and our payment provider) and when required by law. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing.
